To be successful in this role you will need to be an engineer holding a degree in a field of mechanical engineering from an internationally recognized technical institute

Skills
• Knowledge of practical application of engineering science and technology
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated report
• Ability to research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles
• Ability to investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew
• Knowledge to establish and coordinate the maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule, and supply of materials required to maintain machines and equipment in the prescribed condition
• Experience in point to point checkout, troubleshooting of end devices, completing controller Checkout Sheets and loading controller programs to test for system operational functionality
• Strong knowledge of commercial building mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience in the onsite formal controls commissioning process and providing documentation as the process dictates including field as-built drawings
• Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
• Knowledge of scientific rules and methods to solve problems
• Ability to evaluate the desired goal of the system and develope, design, or select the required equipment, power controls, piping, structures and earthwork to achieve the goal
• Knowledge of calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial and commercial applications
• Experience in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects
• Ability to direct activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements
• Ability to maintain effective communication with project team members and with the customer
• Knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with mechanical engineering
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing
• Ability to interact successfully with all levels of personnel including contractors and intergovernmental agency contacts
• Good judgment, problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to plan, organize, review and document wide range of project activities with good follow-through
• Accurate and detail oriented
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to manage deadline-driven workload
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse work force
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking the English language
